NCCS History
Established in 1962 with a Kindergarten class of 12 students, North County Christian School grew to a school of over 500 students with programs in preschool through twelfth grade. Formally located at Ferguson Nazarene Church at 1309 North Elizabeth, in Ferguson, Missouri, the need for more classroom space prompted the aquisition of the North Campus in July 2004. Located at 845 Dunn Road in Florissant, Missouri, the fourteen acre North Campus provided the necessary space for an expanding educational program. The North Campus features a preschool/elementary education building with twenty-eight classrooms, a twenty-one room secondary education building equipped with three science labs, a video production room, art room, and a drama classroom accommondating the middle school and high school education program. Connectng the two education buildings is a common fine arts/library building that includes a computer instruction lab, choir room, band room and elementary art room. A spacious cafeteria serves as both a dining area and common meeting space for chapel and drama presentations. Providing for an expanding physical education curriculum and an enlarging athletic agenda is the gymnasium, with seating for 900, and the lighted athletic field with stadium seating for 300. God has richly blessed NCCS with a campus that provides adequate space for growth and development. Plans for a future multipurpose auditorium are in process.
