Academics

The mission of North County Christian School is to work in partnership with the home and church to provide quality education rooted in Biblical truths and to nurture students as they . . .

Embrace a personal relationship with Jesus Christ,

          Discover their God given gifts,

Seek  His plan for their life, and

Serve  Him with their mind, body and spirit.

Thank you for considering North County Christian School as the education institution of your choice. It is an honor to partner together with Christian families desiring a Christ-centered education for their child, as we work together to prepare your child spiritually, academically, emotionally, and physically for their future as a leader for tomorrow. We welcome families who are committed to our three pillar approach to education:  partnering with the home, church, and school. We believe each pillar provides the strength and stability our students need to build a successful present and future.

Academically...NCCS offers rigorous academics at all age levels, believing that students learn best through active engagement in learning.

Spiritually...NCCS infuses each class with opportunities to learn about God's presence, power, and impact on the subject matter studied, as well as in each student's individual life. Weekly chapel services, class devotions, shared prayer times, and teachers mentoring students are all a part of our continued goal to provide a climate for your child to learn and grow spiritually.

Emotionally...NCCS fosters positive student-student/student-teacher relationships that reinforce respect and appreciation for each other given many personality and cultural differences among our student population through a broad spectrum of activities and learning opportunities.

Physically...NCCS offers a wide array of extra-curricular sports for all secondary students, provides regular PE classes for our elementary students, and partners with local churches to offer floor hockey, basketball, and baseball programs.

We believe you belong here and hope to see you soon!

Tyler BoltonTyler Bolton gains real-life experience while serving the Warrensburg community.

(2010 NCCS Graduate)

Tyler Bolton, a safety management major, dreamed of becoming a firefighter and helping others since childhood. As a part-time student resident firefighter for the Warrensburg Fire Department, Bolton's dream has become a reality.

"The Warrensburg Fire Department has an outstanding reputation, and I wanted to become a part of that tradition," Bolton says. "The student resident program is beneficial for the city of Warrensburg and for me."

Building upon his goals, Bolton has enrolled in additional courses at UCM that focus on community service and the development of real-world experiences as a future professional safety engineer. UCM, in partnership with the Johnson County Ambulance District, offers an emergency medical technician course with required, hands-on and clinical internship experiences. Both the course and internship combine rigorous knowledge, skills-based coursework and mandatory patient interactions in the emergency medical services field.

Through a culture of service attitude and engaged learning experiences in the Warrensburg community and at UCM, Bolton is learning to a greater degree.
